What we have been able to improve together since 2021

It all started with small changes.

On my first trip to the GOA Children Homes, I brought a hand-drawn plan for a water heater.
With local support, I found a craftsman who could implement the plan for the Rhema Children’s Home. He made a grate out of pipes through which water is now fed from a tank and heated over a fire.

With a better understanding of the situation on the ground, the idea for Plant and Eat began to take shape in my mind. As an experienced farmer and agronomist, I saw opportunities to use the land around the GOA Children’s Homes in a more diverse way.

In Kenyan agronomist Peter Muchiri, I found a colleague and friend who could also train the local staff.

Plant and Eat has been running since April 2024. The project encompasses all seven GOA Children’s Homes with the aim of improving their self-sufficiency in food.

In May 2024, through a revelation from Jesus, I succeeded in drilling a water well on the grounds of the Beat The Drum children’s home. The home now has running water for the first time.

These projects are supported by private donors. I am in contact with GOA Switzerland, through which I process the donations.

Donations

Plant and Eat is financed by private donations. I would be delighted if you too would help enable children’s homes to provide themselves with healthy food!
